Update: Google has apparently re-worked the EULA for Chrome which leads one to believe the original EULA was just something hacked together by one of their legal umm…hacks?
Just came across a very, very interesting blog post that everyone using Chrome should know about. In part, Google’s Content License in Chrome states, in part,
“By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.”
This will keep me from using Chrome, you?

Matt takes a run at how and when the Chrome Browser phones home. He makes a good point in that it is open source so it is pretty hard to hide this stuff.
Have you installed Chrome yet? Do you like it??

So finally the long rumoured Google Browser is going to show tomorrow. After reading through the details of the product, it looks like it may be very good. Of course, how much behaviour information it pushes back to homebase will be a concern. Also, Googles ability to get plug-in developers on-board may be the key to widespread adoption.
Could this spell the demise of Firefox?

MarketingVOX is pushing a news story about Google getting it’s wrist slapped by the French court, that from all accounts appears to be over three years old. In the story they cite a CNET piece entitled “Google loses trademark case in France” that dates from February 2005.
Am I missing something here?

“For thousands of years, the human race has spread out across the Earth, scaling mountains and plying the oceans, planting crops and building highways, raising skyscrapers and atmospheric CO2 levels, and observing, with tremendous and unflagging enthusiasm, the Biblical injunction to be fruitful and multiply across our world’s every last nook, cranny and subdivision.”
Man these people are incredibly forward thinking. The cool thing is they always release their best products and ideas on April 1st. I have already signed up everybody in our household! You should too!!
Coming soon to a bathroom near you! More info here…
I just happened to travel over to Matt Cutt’s blog and found this image. Real hacking here or just a great April Fools joke? Time will tell.

“MSN Live is now powering Amazon’s Alexa and A9 search results instead of previous search partner Google, reports Search Engine Lowdown’s Garrett French (via MarketingVox), citing Aaron Wall at Thread Watch and others. Previously, Alexa’s search results were essentially Google results – tweaked by user data from the Alexa toolbar and post-search refinement buttons.” Read more..
