Today is the official release day for FireFox 3. At the SpreadFireFox website, they have a big spread about breaking a world record for downloads. Too bad when you click thru to download the new version they are still presenting a link to download version 2.x. I was successful in getting version 3 by hand editing the URL. This is the URL I used to grab the new version for Windows.

Almost forgot to mention the websites in question have been up and down for over an hour now. You would expect if they want to set a world record they would make sure they have sufficient backend to cover it.
Anybody else had success?

MarketingVOX is pushing a news story about Google getting it’s wrist slapped by the French court, that from all accounts appears to be over three years old. In the story they cite a CNET piece entitled “Google loses trademark case in France” that dates from February 2005.
Am I missing something here?
