Is MarketingVOX Confused Or Just A Slow Newsweek?
6 June 2008, greg @ 2:02 pm

MarketingVOX is pushing a news story about Google getting it’s wrist slapped by the French court, that from all accounts appears to be over three years old. In the story they cite a CNET piece entitled “Google loses trademark case in France” that dates from February 2005.

Am I missing something here?

Microsoft Withdraws Bid for Yahoo
5 May 2008, greg @ 9:44 am

Microsoft said Saturday that it was abandoning its blockbuster bid to acquire Yahoo! after it raised its offer by $5 billion but Yahoo rejected it as still too low.”

Friends tell me MS will be banging on the door again later in the year. If Yahoo! management doesn’t get their game together, they will not be able to defend themselves against this a second time.

What are your thoughts?

Internet retailer sues Yahoo for $1 million
21 April 2008, greg @ 10:28 am

“Online retailer Bigreds.com is suing Yahoo Inc.
for $1 million, alleging that it was overcharged nearly that amount
because it was the victim of click fraud, according to court documents.”

Depending on the outcome, this case could have far-reaching implications. It is my belief click fraud is still rampant and something needs to be done to get it under control.

Agree, disagree??

'Amazon Tax' bill close to becoming law
16 April 2008, greg @ 10:25 am

“It seems likely that a law requiring online retailers to collect sales tax on all items delivered to residents of New York will be approved, causing a potential e-commerce headache.”

I have posted about this a few times. This is just one step closer.

StomperNet Live: What I Did With My Weekend
16 April 2008, greg @ 10:14 am

I am sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for my flight home and I thought I would tell you about the great weekend I just had attending StomperNet Live Five. StomperNet has been, and continues to be, the 1000 pound gorilla when it comes to learning SEO and Internet Marketing. If you want to learn REAL SEO skills and Internet Marketing, StomperNet is the place to learn it.

Our company has been involved with StomperNet since well before it was called StomperNet. Back when it was just Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkins, it was called The Apprentice Program. Since joining the “Apprentice” program way back when, we have not spent a single dollar on ANY other SEO program. We haven’t spent money on other programs because we haven’t needed to. Our revenues have grown a minimum of 50% every year since we have been involved. Last year we were up 75+% and for the first quarter of 2008 our run rate is nearly 80% over 2007. Pretty effective, huh? I’d say. And those number$ are from entirely organic search results not PPC. Have you been that successful on your own?????

So, the bottom line is if you want to grow your business join Stompernet when you can. I have heard they may be opening the doors for a short amount of time within the next few months. It isn’t cheap but, the return on investment can be staggering.

So what did I do this weekend? I listened to and learned from the best of the best. These folks aren’t just speakers at the SN Live events, they are StomperNet Faculty. An added bonus? NO PITCHING FROM THE STAGE!

The list is a who’s who of SEO and Internet Marketing:
(in no particular order)

That is all the people I can remember at the moment… A huge amount of new material and programs were announced during the event. Many of these will go live on April 15th. The cost for all these new faculty and programs? Zip, zero, nada. All included in the price.

So, why haven’t you joined Stompernet?
